Got sick of fighting to get my 6” ruler off the wall so now that nail also holds washers.
I think the contrast between raw and finished is going to look great
Up next is a kitchen stand for my parents. Quartersawn white oak and walnut harvested from the farm. This one is going front and center.
Ash and cherry keepsake box in the making. Going with a rough look for the ash opposite the refined look of cherry. Milled these from a log taken from the family farm.
Working my first log to boards...Um, boards. It’s the corners of a keepsake box I’m making. Leaving the outer edges more or less as is from the axe. Any tips for getting them splinter-less? Also...good god do I love to smell ash after it’s been worked......
Suppose I shouldn’t have stayed up late getting the drawers fitted. Feeling it today but damn it’s a good looking nightstand.
